"We really like The Sorcerer's Cottage"
|
The family members Stefn Hrafnkelsson, Linda Bragadttir and Helga
Stefnsdttir are from Iceland. They are the guests of the week at the Museum of
Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft. It was in 1978 when Stefn came the last
time to Strandir and thought it was time to visit the area again. They went all
the way up to Norurfjörur and went swimming in the amazing and sceneric pool
in Krossnes. They came up with a brochure from the Museum of Witchcraft and
decided to visit both of the exhibitions in Bjarnarfjörur and Hlmavk on
theire way back.

Meinen (36) technical assistant from Bayreuth, Germany. They started their
seventeen day travel in Reykjavk, then they went to The Westfjords (Vestfirir) and now they
where located in Hlmavk in their trip around Iceland, but they will end their
travel in Reykjavik, where they will spend couple of days and in the city and
its nearest surrounding. Christiane named especially the Blue Lagoon, which she
was very interested to try to swim in. But why Iceland? Herbert answered that he
had got interested in Iceland after he knew that the game eve-online is made in
Iceland, but in that game he is the character Valmiki. Christiane started to
laugh when they where asked if they had read a lot about Iceland. She said: I

Enjoy every minute in Iceland
|
Guests of the week are Colleen Crebase (52) and Jim Crebase (61), they are both
teachers and they come from Connecticut, United States. They first
heard of Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft from Viktora lafsdttir in
Hlmavk, but the Crebase stay at her house for one week. They belong to the
organisations Homes For Exchange dot com. Because they have been using Viktorias house, she can
do the same free off charge, whenever she goes to the United States later this summer. The Creabase really like this way of travelling because
hotels are not personal and it is much more like home when you are staying in
somebodys house. This is the first time they use this way of travelling and
they like it so far. They really enjoyed the museum, and said it was interesting
and that they had learned new things about the local history of Vestfirir and
Strandir.

The visitors of the week are Janni Simner (39) a writer and Larry Hammer (39)
also a writer from Arizona, USA. They first visited Iceland the year 2002 but then
they travelled separately. Simner travelled then the south coast of Iceland and
Hammer travelled on the north coast. In theire visit to Iceland this time they
decided to show one another what they saw in their first visit to Iceland. That
is the reason why they visited The Museum of Sorcery and Witchcraft in Strandir,
but the year 2002 Hammer visited the museum. Janni Simner has a big interest in
everything that is linked to folk believe and history and she is also constantly
looking for ideas for her books, but she writes books for children and teenagers.
Both of them are very interested in the famous sorcerer Svanur Svanshli and
Njls saga.
